October 2012 - Gail presents workshop entitled Getting Your Story Told to the North Florida Chapter of Meeting Professionals International in Jacksonville. The group requests a second session for their colleagues in Tallahassee in November.

June 2012 - Our session on media communication, marketing and promotions delivered at the Canadian Library Association annual conference, held in Ottawa, drew library professionals from academic, post-secondary, public, corporate and school library systems.

February 2012 - More than 4,000 people attended the Ontario Library Association's Super Conference in Toronto February 1st to 4th, 2012.
Gail conducted a PreConference workshop on Choosing and Training Your Media Spokesperson for 26 leaders of the various Library Association groups, and then delivered a Conference program on Library Marketing: from Social Media to the News Media.
January 2012 - Cannexus 12 is the annual Conference for career development professionals and counsellors in Canada. Gail presented the workshop "Boost Your Media EQ", dealing with emotional intelligence capabilities that can be developed to improve communications skills.
July 2011 - The Ontario Library Association is Canada's largest library association and OLA's Super Conference is Canada's largest continuing education event in librarianship. About 4,500 people are expected to attend in February 2012 for four days of professional development and networking. Gail has been invited to conduct a Pre Conference Workshop on news media skills and strategies, in addition to a session for senior staff and trustees on Library Marketing.
June 2011 - Vancouver advertising agency Hot Shop Communications Inc. organized and led a two-day program for a group selected by the Insurance Brokers Association of BC to participate in a television commercial. Gail provided a session on media skills and on-camera technique.
May 2011 - WindWord Communications has launched a weekly blog at http://windwordcommunications.blogspot.com. Readers will find tips on presentation styles, media skills and interview EQ, ideas for improving their business communications, comments on strategic planning for media campaigns, and observations about any aspect of public communication.
May 2011 - Approximately 120 members of the Indiana Chapter of Meeting Professionals International attended a noon-hour presentation that Gail had designed to address their priorities in learning about working with the print and broadcast news media. The organization includes event planners, destination management firms, convention and conference organizers, hotel chains and other suppliers.
April 2011 - The BC Trucking Association Board includes owners and senior executives from commercial road transport companies throughout the province. Gail has delivered presentations on Media Relations and small-group media skills coaching, to assist with the Board development initiatives of this organization. The Association has now launched a seminar series for its members titled Media 101 and will begin a webinar series in May 2011.
April 2011 - The BC Library Association celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. It represents 700 members, including library professionals and Board trustees.
March 2011 - The Indianapolis chapter of Meeting Professionals International draws approximately 100 members to each of its monthly Education Programs, with participants working in the corporate, government, association, supplier and meeting management sectors.
March 2011 - The BC Maritime Employers Association represents the waterfront cargo and passenger vessel handling industry, working on ports along the west coast from Vancouver to Alaska.
February 2011 - WindWord Communications Inc. is working with the BC Trucking Association to develop a series of seminars and webinars on communication skills for its commercial road transport industry members. The series will launch in April.
February 2011 - The Academic Chairpersons Conference is an annual forum where Department Chairs and Directors from universities and colleges across the U.S. address issues and concerns. The focus this year was "Transforming Higher Education". Gail provided a paper titled "Reaching Out: Mainstream Media Strategies for University and College Leaders".
February 2011 - Mount Seymour Resorts Ltd., located a short drive from Vancouver, Canada, offers something for anyone who skis, rides, snowshoes, tubes, toboggans, or hikes. The mountain frequently draws media attention and Marketing Department staff recently picked up tips on making the most of those opportunities, during a workshop that Gail designed specifically for resorts that provide winter sports recreation.
January 2011 - The Canadian Education and Research Insitute for Counselling supports the spread of knowledge in the fields of career counselling and career development. The workshop that Gail conducted for their annual conference, Cannexus, featured group work on public speaking and presentation skills that might be required in meetings or job interviews.
December 2010 - WindWord Communications has provided consulting services to Small Business BC in a one-year project that involved designing, writing and producing a Regional News Media Guide, with one-to-one and small group training for regional partners in Community Futures and Chamber of Commerce organizations throughout the province, via video conferencing seminars. Small Business BC is one of British Columbia's leading providers of business education products and services, serving thousands of entrepreneurs seeking assistance with their start-up and established businesses.

August 2010 - The BC Trucking Association is British Columbia's voice for the commercial road transport industry. Members operate 13,000 to 14,000 vehicles, employ more than 26,000 people and generate approximately $2 billion in revenues annually in B.C. Gail will be working on Board Development with the Association.
July 2010 - Cannexus 2011, the Annual National Conference for Canadian career professionals, is scheduled for Ottawa next year. Gail has been invited to provide a workshop to guide attendees in polishing their own presentation skills and in developing evaluation methods to use in assisting and mentoring clients who are working on improving their communication skills for job interviews.
July 2010 - The National Career Development Association provided an exceptional conference to members from a diverse range of organizations and backgrounds, gathered in San Francisco to acquire knowledge about the latest innovations in the field and assist in building a bridge to a brighter future.
June 2010 - The BC Chamber Executives organization represents the CEOs, Executive Directors and Managing Directors of the Chambers of Commerce in British Columbia. WindWord Communications Inc. has contracted to provide a workshop on Media Strategies that will engage Conference attendees in addressing the particular interests of business people.
June 2010 - The Alberta Literacy and Learning Symposium, scheduled for Edmonton in October 2010, is co-sponsored by Alberta Literacy and the Community Learning Network. Gail will design and provide a workshop tailored to the interests and needs of organizations working in this area of adult education.
June 2010 - The Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association, has invited Gail to conduct one of three pre-conference Professional Development Workshops provided for delegates to its 2011 Conference next June in New Orleans. The ACRL is the largest division of this 12,000-member professional association, is dedicated to meeting the information needs of advanced education institutions throughout the United States, and accounts for nearly 20% of the total ALA membership.
June 2010 - The Canadian Library Association hosted more than 900 delegates at its annual conference, held in Edmonton this year at the spectacular riverfront Shaw Convention Centre. Gail delivered a workshop on Media Strategies and Skills.
May 2010 - Small Business BC, a joint project of the federal and provincial governments, has launched a new initiative to raise awareness of the video conferencing technology available to assist business owners as they add to their business knowledge and skills. WindWord Communications has signed a contract to provide consulting services, create a Media Guide, and deliver training services to the various partners of Small Business BC.
April 2010 - The Canadian Society of Association Executives represents the leaders who manage Canada's leading trade, professional, occupational, philanthropic, and single or common-interest organizations. Gail Hulnick provides professional development training and coaching to executives and board members in a variety of fields, and will be addressing the CSAE National Conference in Quebec City in September of this year on the subject of Media Communications and Emotional Intelligence.
March 2010 - At the BC Career Development Association Annual Conference, Gail delivered a workshop on Presentation Skills for career counsellors, outplacement advisors, organization executives, workplacement consultants, and human resources professionals. A key learning outcome was developing methods of providing effective, functional feedback for clients and staff requiring improvement in their communications abilities.
March 2010 - Small Business BC is a joint venture of the federal and provincial governments, aiding established small businesses and start-ups in 47 communities throughout BC as they build their enterprises. Gail delivers seminars on Advertising Your Small Business and on Getting Your Story Told: Media Communications for Small Business.
February 2010 - The National Career Development Association represents thousands of U.S. members who deliver career services to diverse groups in many settings. It is a founding division of the American Counselling Association. At its Global Conference this summer, Gail Hulnick will deliver information and advice on communication skills for job seekers and career developers.

December 2009 - The Canadian Library Association/Association Canadienne des bibliotheques is an award-winning, not-for-profit organization, serving as the national voice of the national library and information community and delivering a range of value-added services to professional librarians, library technicians, the organizations that employ them, and the Board members who help to lead them. Gail Hulnick will lead a workshop on media planning and presentation skills at the Association's 2010 National Conference.
November 2009 - B.C.'s Career Development Conference brings together counsellors, advisors, coaches, and other human resources professionals with an interest in guiding individuals and organizations to the best possible deployment of talent and skills. Gail has addressed this group twice previously, on Media Skills and on Media Communications Management. In Vancouver at the 2010 Conference, she will explore some ideas on effective presentation skills for career counsellors and job seekers.
August 2009 - Tourism BC is recognized as a leader in tourism marketing and development, with offices in Victoria, Vancouver, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Australia. Its vision is to be a recognized world leader in tourism destination management. One of its functions is to deliver customer service training to tourism professionals, business owners, managers, and front-line staff. Gail Hulnick has been selected to provide WorldHost® Training Services workshops, as B.C. gets ready for the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
August 2009 - Westcoast Women's Clinic provides holistic, integrated health care and education services to women in the midlife years. WindWord Communications has been contacted to provide editing and writing services for communications material that will be made available to the general public and to corporations that may offer Clinic services and seminars to their employees.
July 2009 - Meeting Professionals International delivered an exceptionally well-organized, dynamic conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. The program included opening remarks from Ben Stein, Betsy Myers, and Gary Loveman, CEO of Harrah's, who proved, through his remarks (and no doubt, in many other ways), that the skillset for economists/business school professors is tremendously transferrable. Gail conducted one of the breakout sessions, focusing on the programming component of meeting planning, and providing tips on selecting, sourcing, managing, and leveraging the speakers you invite to your convention or conference.
June 2009 - The International Conference on Emotional Intelligence, held this year in Toronto, Canada, brought together psychologists, human resources executives, and leadership coaches for discussion and education. Gail presented on the applications of emotional intelligence theory to media interviews.
June 2009 - Gail Hulnick has been invited by Small Business BC to continue as a speaker on Media Communications with two seminars later this summer.
May 2009 - Business owners from the entertainment, financial, sports and fitness, and hospitality industries recently attended seminars hosted by Small Business BC and presented by Gail Hulnick. "Getting Your Story Told" provided insights into Media Communications and "Advertising Your Small Business" covered the first steps in advertising planning for print, broadcast, and online campaigns.
April 2009 - At this time of year, thousands of new university grads bring their knowledge, skills, energy, and spark to the job market. We are currently coaching young people who need to develop their ommunication styles for employment interviews and other workplace opportunities, using our Meet, Greet, and Speak workshop approach.
March 2009 - On Your Feet: Presentation Skills for Lawyers is a part of the WindWord Communications series "Working the Front of the Room". The content is tailored to develop the professional communication skills required of lawyers. Recently, Gail delivered this seminar to partners and associates at Miller Thomson LLP. a full-service, national law firm.
